CHANGES IN v1.1
---------------

Music volume controls added.("+" and "-" on numeric pad)

New way of displaying score boards which will hopefully work on
a wider range of graphics cards & driver versions.

Changed screen update code to be more TFT friendly (hopefully).

Extra live particle bug fixed.

Added ability to use numbers and a few other chars in high scores
entry... for the people who need them, hope it helps.

High Score syncing warning on intro splash screen. PLEASE DONT SYNC
UNTIL YOU HAVE GIVEN PERMISSION IN YOUR FIREWALL FOR THE GAME TO
ACCESS THE INTERNET OR THE GAME MAY LOCK-UP!

Hopefully made the local high scores file more well protected, and
made the high scores and system more safe from crooks. :P

Reduced the file size by nearly 200k. Under a meg now! :D

I'm sure there is more but I can't remember.... :P

CHANGES IN v1.11
----------------

Fixed Survival bonus not being added, that crept into v1.10.

Also there was a windowed mode added last time that I didnt mention
in the docs. Put "\window" or "\stretch" on the command line for two
different windowed modes, if you dont want to play in full screen.

CONTROLS
--------

On the title screen you can access the high-score boards using
the cursor keys to move the tabs out from the sidesof the
screen, and to move up and down through the onlinescoreboard's
four pages.

Also on the title screen, you may press "S" to sync the online
board with the scores on my site.

PLEASE NOTE: Some firewalls may kick off or not allow you to
post your scores - please make sure you have allowed the file
access to the net connection. (you may have to ALT-TAB out of
the game the first time you try to sync, in order to do this.)

In game the ship is controlled via any of the following:-

Cursor keys
QAOP
Joypad/Joystick

Spacebar or joystick fire button is used to start a game and
also to retry a level, or move to the next level oncollecting
all the items on the screen.

+ and - on numeric pad to change music volume.

PLAYING THE GAME
----------------

On each screen your ship begins in the centre, and you must
move and collect all the 80s items that are placed around
the grid.

Most levels have holes which cannot be crossed, and must be
moved around.

On the four edges of the grid there are moving laser cannons,
which will attempt to destroy you with their photon shots if.
If one of them is level with your ship, either vertically or
horizontally, they will open fire. Keep moving!

There is no ingame pause, but you may have a breather between
levels, or before retrying a level you have failed.

If you complete all the levels, then you will be returned to
the first, but the game speed will increase.

SCORING
-------

Item scores work on a combo-system. Each item is worth 5 points,
but this is increased the more of them you can collect quickly.

This is also multiplied by your current level-loop: If you are
able to complete all the levels, then everything is worth more
the second, third, etc. time around.

Item score: 5 point X multiplier X level-loop.

The score multiplier ranges between 1x and 12x and increases in
twos... 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, etc.

If you are able to complete a level without losing any lives,
and without having to retry it, then you will be awarded a
"Survival Bonus". If you complete more than one level without
loss of life then this bonus will rise 1,000 points per extra
level completed, to a maximum of 5,000 points.

Losing a life will reset the "Survival Bonus" to zero.

A secondary bonus can be received by returning to the drop-zone
before your ship's controls are locked out, on completion of the
level. The faster you get back the more points will be earnt.

EXTRA LIVES
-----------

Additional lives are awarded on a points system based on the
levels that you have completed.

If you complete a level without loss of life you get *1* point
towards an extra life.

If you complete a level with one or more lives lost in the
process then you receive *1* point, plus an additional handicap
point, towards a extra life.

When 5 extra life points have been collected from completion of
levels, a life is awarded, and 5 points are deducted from the
"extra life points".

Examples:-

Completing 5 levels without losing a life = 5 points = 1 life.

Completing 3 levels, and dying on each one = 6 points = 1 life,
and one surplus point remaining.

The player can have a maximum of FIVE lives (four showing and one
in play).
