II. Quick & Dirty Tutorial

Open the game via ShadowArmada.exe or Launcher.exe. Note that if you have downloaded an update and clicked no in the lobby then you NEED to use Launcher.exe. Press solo on the main menu. Press start game. What you need to know is that the white dots on the radar (lower-right corner of the screen) are your ships, and in the main display the ships with the white lines coming out of them are yours. Your HUD is colored the same as your team also. To move your ships, drag the white lines in front of them around. These lines are the EXACT PATH your ship will travel. To fire, look at the ship display in the lower-left with one of your ships selected. The ship's "armory" is the collection of missiles on the right half of that display. Click on a missile to fire it. Also, find the button labelled Blank Shot (the small button with a hollow missile inside). This can be used to time shots.
Targeting is also important. It is the red cross directly below the Blank Shot button. Click the targeting button then on any ship (Or nothing to cancel). For any of your ships that have a red arc in front of them when they are selected, targeting will point missiles that ship fires towards the selected target. It greatly increases accuracy and can provide huge advantages over your opponents.
Self destruct has its uses, it is the bright red circular button in the upper-left of the ship display. Click it, and when the turn begins... boom.
Upgrading ships is slightly complex but hopefully not too. First you must get an upgrade from killing a ship. It will say something like "Walter: Received a seeker!" This will turn the originally-gray upgrade arrow to a blue upgrade arrow. It is the button in the VERY lower-left. When pressed, it will slide up a display of your inventory. Drag & Drop. Components go to components, missiles to the armory, and the square upgrades to the square upgrade area.
Skill points are almost useless at low levels, but since levelling does not slow down as you increase in level as long as you fight people your own level, levels of 160 are not uncommon. To invest in skill points, simply click the Skills tab in the far upper-right corner of the screen in game, and click on a skill. Note that you may re-invest all of your skill points by pressing reset for the cost of $750.

III. Lobby Play
Click Lobby Connect on the main menu. Pick a name and password (I do not see the passwords). Click connect. If all goes well you will get an account created message box, and you're in the lobby. You may use the suggestions box, join games, chat with players, etc. ALSO: THE LOBBY SAVES YOUR LEVEL AND ITEMS EVERY TIME YOU LOG IN AND OUT.

IV. Auto-update
To use the auto-update feature, simply connect to the lobby. The lobby will download updates (Indicated by the moving red bar) and install them if it can. If a new ShadowArmada.exe is downloaded, the game will prompt if you wish to restart. Doing so will safely boot you out of the lobby, replace the executable, and send you back on your way. IF YOU CHOOSE NO: You must run launcher.exe manually (Or rename SAUpdate.pac to ShadowArmada.exe) the next time you run Shadow Armada.
