=========================
SAILOR V GAME 1.22
=========================

Requirements: Direct X 8.0 or better, Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP, P-II-400 MHz or better.

-------------------------------
About 1.22 version
-------------------------------
Now the game has original Sailor V game BGM that can be heard in the anime.
You can set it to 'on' or 'off' via options (by default it is set to 'on').
When it is set to 'off', the same BGMs as in version 1.21 will play
(look in 'options' section of readme).

The quality of pictures in the starting sequence was improved also.
Fullscreen mode now runs in 16 bit color mode that (hopefully) will help
to increase compatibility. So if the game does not work in window mode,
try fullscreen mode then.

-------------------------------
About 1.21 version
-------------------------------
This version, released on February 18, 2006, appeared among other reasons due
to several requests concerning inconvenient handling by the game of pressed direction
keys. This problem is solved in a new version.

Apart from this, there are several other technical corrections of minor importance.
Otherwise, it is almost identical to 1.2 version.

-------------------------------
General info:
-------------------------------
This game was created by Sailormoon fans accordingly to screenshots of the actual
Sailor V arcade game shown in the Sailormoon anime (episodes 02, 08, 29, 31).
Accordingly to Sailor V manga volume 2, Sailor V game arcade machine was brought
into Game Center Crown by Artemis so that Minako could train her warrior skills.
Levels: generally, there are not so many backgrounds shown in the anime, so for the
most part they were composed by the authors of Sailor V game 1.1. Still, the glimpses
shown were reconstructed in this game (e.g. arched windows & columns (ep. 31) can
be seen at level 2).
Enemies: All enemies can be divided into two categories: enemies of fixed quantity
and enemies appearing endlessly. The further into level the faster the last ones appear;
it continues until player gets a checkpoint.

Online ranking:

Registration (free) is required:

After completing registration registered name and password must be filled in the
dialogues shown by the game after you choose to send your current score (note that
your name will be shown in ranking only if it is among top 100 results). When you
achieve a better score and send it, your previous entry will be updated with a new score
& date (and moved in position dependently on other players scores).

Controls:
-------------------------------
left, right arrows - to move around;
up, down arrows - to aim upward/downward;
V-key - shoot/perform Sailor V kick;
space - to jump;
enter - to pause game;
F5 - to stop/play music;

-------------------------------
Options:
-------------------------------
Options are available via game itself or via "settings.ini" file.
Note that when you change full screen option via game it will be affected only
after restarting. Eight BGM distributed with the game can be replaced with any other
midi-files (up to eight). In this case you must write down their names (with extension!)
in "settings.ini" instead of the names written there by default. When out of listed in
"settings.ini" midis no files are present in the game folder, it will run without BGM.
By changing "send" parameter you can control whether to send your score to online ranking:
always  you will be asked to send your score each time you are defeated;
never  self-explanatory;
1000 - you will be asked to send your score only if you gained at least 1000 points;
10000 - you will be asked to send your score only if you gained at least 10000 points;

Changing the key for shooting is available only via 'settings.ini'. To do so, write a capital
letter for A-Z keys, a digit 0-9 for digits keys, <shift> or <control> (without less than or
more than signs) next to "key_shoot="
(by default it is set to key_shoot=V)
For instance:
key_shoot=R
-or-
key_shoot=7
-or-
key_shoot=control

Using other keys for shooting than listed is not available.

You can change the key for jumping in the same vay:
in a line "key_jump=space" delete "space" and write instead a capital letter for A-Z keys
(except V-key) or a digit 0-9 for digits, <shift>, <control> or <space> (without less than
or more than signs).
For instance:
key_jump=L
-or-
key_jump=3
-or-
key_jump=shift

Using other keys for jumping than listed is not available.
