====================================THE PARANOID HELP FILE=======================================

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimium: (Estimated)
486DX4/100
8mb of RAM
1mb Video card
Windows 95 or 98 with a recent copy of Direct X (Version 3? or above)

Tested on:
Intel Pentium 133 with a 1mb video card and 16 megs of RAM. Fine.
Intel Pentium 166 MMX with a 1mb video card and 16 megs of RAM. Runs Perfectly.
AMD K6 PentiumII 300 MMX with a 16mb Banshee video card and 32 megs of RAM. No problems.

GAME:
The aim of the game is basically to bounce a ball around a screen using a paddle on the bottom of
the screen. If this ball falls of the screen at the bottom then the ball is replaced above the
paddle and you lose a life. Once all the lives have been used up then the game is over.
There are 2 bonus levels each different in gameplay, the first is just to capture as
many life capsules as possible without hitting many bombs as for the second bonus level is a
shoot 'em up using the 'space bar' to fire, enjoy!

HISTORY:
Paranoid has been the backbone of the games I have created. This is the first Paranoid ever
distributed as a complete version and so I have tried to make it as good as possible.
The game engine has been developed 4 times, the graphics have changed 5 times, the music
and sounds have changed 4 times and the basic concept has changed 3 times, so as you can tell
it's been one hell of a journey to bring Paranoid!

INFO:
Paranoid 2, Millenium Meltdown, will be the next in the series and should be released by
around August 2000.

SOUNDS:
Paranoid uses the windows sound drivers so you need your windows sample sound driver and midi
driver to play Paranoid's sound and music.

Graphics: You need Windows 95/98 set to the 800 by 600 or higher resolution in the display
settings in the control panel.

There is also help about the game in the actual game program itself.

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Double-clicking on the the paranoid icon just brings up Games Factory info.

The version of Paranoid you recieved is corrupted, either you got a virus infected copy or your
machine is infected with a virus. Buy or use a trial anti-virus to disinfect your computer from
the virus.
The only reason I know this is because my computer was once infected with a virus and
Paranoid failed to work, this was caused by a Windows 95 CIH virus, but now my computer works
perfectly once more, after it was de-bugged. A cure to the windows CIH virus can be found on the
internet at:	www.pspl.com/download/cleancih.htm.

LEGAL STUFF:

Paranoid is Freeware and there should be no charge for the program itself but a small charge may
be allowed for reproduction costs, therefore Paranoid can be disributed on collection CD's or
magazine coverdisks etc...
Paranoid is Freeware and if you would like to contact me then you can e-mail me at:-
	digevo_at@yahoo.co.uk

If for some reason you cannot get through check you've typed in the address right otherwise I
may have to many unread e-mails but don't worry, I do read them!

Paranoid must be distributed with this file.
