Pack 'em in
---------------
This game was created for the Caiman Games 'TPS Packaging Machine' Competition

In this game there are 13 boxes. You control a gun which fires balls of different
colours into the boxes. If 2 balls of the same colour come into contact with each
other they become joined together, and if a group of 5 or more is created, you will
score points.

Points allow you to progress to higher levels, and after every four levels another
different colour is added, making your task considerably more difficult.

As a new level begins your gun's position will be changed by 90 degrees, altering
the position of the boxes relative to you.

Controls
-----------
You control the gun with the Mouse.

Button 1 Fires
In the bottom left of the screen you will see which colours are ready to be fired next.

Button 2 Reloads (you must reload every 6 shots)

Press ESCAPE once to reset and twice to exit the game.

Note - After a short time on the title screen - a gameplay demo will begin. To exit
from this demo, press ESCAPE as normal.

Scoring
----------
If a group is formed it will disappear, and the box lid will appear. If more groups are
created within the same box you will be awarded a multiplier bonus.

When a group of size 5 or more is created, you have a second to add to is before it disappears.
The larger the group is when it vanishes, the more points you will score.

The total number of balls packed determines the basic points you receive, ranging from 80
to 200. The bar in the top left of the screen shows how many balls are currently
packed. This means that it is useful to have a lot of balls packed at once, although there is
a limit to this (see next section).

Game Over
---------------
There are 3 ways for Game Over to be reached.

1. You run out of time. You start with 3 minutes and gain at least an extra 20 seconds
every level.

2. You run out of ammo. You start with 100 shots, and any balls which disappear
are added back onto your ammo allowance. You also get an extra 20 ammo for
completing a level.

3. The total number of balls in boxes reaches 150.

You will be warned if any of these conditions is imminent by a flashing red
indicator.

The Gutter
--------------
If balls miss the boxes altogether they will head for the gutter. You lose 10 points
for every ball that goes down the gutter.

Note - If a box contains over 20 balls, with no large groups, the box will empty
all its contents into the gutter, losing you over 200 points. Sometimes groups can
be formed on the way to the gutter, and you can still gain points for these, although
you will lose the chance of a multiplier bonus.

Bonus Balls
---------------
Every so often you will see that a shimmering ball is ready to be fired. This is the
bonus ball. Whichever colour of ball this hits first, all the balls of that colour which
are currently packed will disappear.

You can either fire it at another ball, or into an empty box and wait to fire another
ball at it later. This means that you can have several bonus balls active at once.

You don't gain points for using bonus balls but they make it easier to remove
the balls which remain, and provide relief if some of the boxes are becoming too
full.

Note - The bonus ball will have no effect unless one of the two balls is already packed.
