II. Tips
-
Learn the keys! Most important: Z, X, C = Attack, Move, Rotate.
-
If you want to see who can still move, use the X key (or click Move in the actions list) and all of the ships that can still move will flash. The same holds true for the Attack and Rotate actions.
-
The larger the space debris, the higher the chance of finding Resources after destroying it. Collect Resources (by moving into them) to upgrade and repair your ships.
-
Play to your Captain's strengths. Try not to get bogged down in a close range battle if your Captain specializes in long range attacks.
-
Keep an eye on your ships' stats. It's good practice to check all ship hulls at the beginning of your turn using the overlay (click on the Hull name on the ship stats interface, or use Tab to cycle through the Hull, Shield and Energy overlays).
-
Retreat when possible. Since shields are restored by 10 at the beginning of the player's turn, it can be a smart strategy to move ships without shields to the back, recharge some of their shields, and throw them back into battle as artillary.
-
In big battles, layer your defenses to help prevent berserker-style attacks from overwhelming your fleet.

III. Known Issues
-
The Mac version's gamma is a bit off, try higher resolutions (and/or lower Quality Settings) for better results.
-
The help system needs to be updated.
