JADE PHOENIX - A.K.A. THE NTWF GAME
BETA VERSION

Welcome!
========
Thanks for checking out this beta version of Jade Phoenix. Now that we've tackled the most important issues with the game's development, I have been able to compile over 35 unique levels into a single adventure that's playable from start to finish.

I must stress, however, that the game is not complete. Many of the worlds are lacking of a final boss, and some of the transitions are rather abrupt. Nevertheless, the game has a much more "complete" feel to it than past versions, and I hope you have hours of fun exploring all of the new levels and worlds. ^_^

Controls
========

Use the following keys to control your character...

Run = Left and right arrow keys
Jump = Control or Ctrl (Button 1 on the gamepad)
Dash = Down + Ctrl (Button 1 on the gamepad)
Attack = Space bar (Button 2 on the gamepad)
Pause / Skip cutscenes	= Escape or Esc

Before the game begins, you will be able to choose if you want to use the keyboard or a gamepad. You can also change the control settings by selecting "Controls..." from the Game menu at the top of the window.

In addition, you can choose from two playable characters: Patjade or Wandy. Each character has their own unique set of abilities.

Known Bugs and Issues
=====================

I am always continuing to polish the game and remove any sort of bugs that arise. Refer to the "updates.txt" file if you want to know the latest fixes and changes.

Also, there are a couple of known bugs that could affect gameplay in the some of the levels. I am aware of these bugs and will continue to try and fix them for the next version:

- In the Tower of the Emeralds, it is possible to sink through the bricks in the crushing room.

- The game has a chance of crashing in Sector YELLOW. I believe the lightning barriers are causing it, but I haven't figured out why they're crashing the game yet.

In Conclusion
=============
