WHAT'S THIS?
========================================================================================================================
Hubris is a faithful remake of the popular minigame "Arcomage", introduced in the CRPG "Might & Magic 7: For Blood and Honor" late in 1993. Arcomage actually
made me play cards in a small pub while all around me evil stalked the land and people where begging for a hero to save them. I am pretty sure I would have made
a fine hero (the main quest was all about it, actually), but nah, not me, I was playing cards.

In Hubris, two players assume the roles of powerful wizards who duke it out with magic, beasts and tactics in a casual strategy game that's part
tabletop, part card game. A stripped-down version of Magic The Gathering, if you like.

HOW TO PLAY?
========================================================================================================================
When you start the game for the first time, you'll be aked to create a profile, and then enter Anderwynn's Alehouse, where Hubris is played day and night.
In the pub, click on the guests to make your choice:

* The BARKEEPER will explain the rules to you. Hubris is a simple game, but it's a good idea to read the rules if you are not familiar with trading card games
in general, or Arcomage (and Hubris) in particular.
* The LIBARIAN can show you his collection of cards- if you are trying to develop new strategies, it's a good idea to see what each card does!
* The GUESTS are already playing Hubris. Click on them and join the fun!
* The Vagabonds in the back will set the OPTIONS for you.
* You can also click the ANNOUNCEMENT to see your overall game statistics, which are saved in your profile.
* If you're done, click the DOOR to leave the Alehouse.

IT'S A REMAKE!
========================================================================================================================
The original Arcomage was created by Stickman Games for The 3DO Company as part of their CRPG series "Might & Magic". 3DO is now defunct, and there's
little hope for a fresh M&M game, but Arcomage survived and has since then been released as a standalone commercial game, and later resurfaced in several
fan-made projects.
Hubris uses the original rules and all cards, but no other (probably still copyrighted) assets. I wanted to create a game with a more generic fantasy feel, and hope
that you will enjoy this little gem of casual strategy card game.

IT'S A MAGS!
========================================================================================================================
Hubris was created for the MAGS competion, January 2012: "In The Pub". Well, it defenitely takes place in a pub ;)
