1. What is Frank the Farmhand?

Thanks for downloading Frank the Farmhand.

Frank the Farmhand is a graphics-adventuregame. It tells the story about
a young man called Frank who's really a farmhand but is not content with it. When he comes to school one day he finds that his favorite teacher, professor Conrad Push is missing. And there's some mysterious agents in his office. Frank of course have to investigate and soon finds himself in deep trouble.

1.1 What happened in Part 1?

You should really have played through part 1 before playing part 2. If you don't then you'll miss out on A LOT of the story.

Here's a quick recap of what happened in part 1:

Frank found professor Conrad Push in his boat. Push told Frank that he'd recieved a mysterious letter this morning and that he knew his life was in danger. There were two agents chasing the professor, so he needed to leave the country. His boat was not working so Frank helped him to find the things he needed to get it to work. Frank also rescues his best friend Ben from the Klu Klux Klan.

When the boat had been repaired the agents finally caught up with them and they ALL had to escape with the boat. They set sail for Cuba...

2. How to play

You proceed in the game by solving puzzles and by doing that helping Frank to accomplish the things he needs to do. To solve puzzles you need to interact with the environments. This you do by clicking on the "verbs" on the bottom of the screen and then on the things you want to interact with.

Example: If you see a man on the screen and want to talk to him you press the "talk to" verb and then on the man noting that at the top of the screen there's a text saying what you're about to do, "Talk to man".

The string of text at the top is very important, because everything that you can interact with will appear with a name in that string of text when the mousecursor is over it.

You can also pick things up using the "pick up"-verb. The things you've picked up will appear in the inventory on the right side of the verbs. The inventory screen can display up to four objects at the same time, and some arrows will appear to able you to scroll up and down through your inventory when you have more than four objects. Inventory items are crucial in your puzzlesolving and you can use them with other things as well as with other inventoryitems by using the "Use"-verb.

When you talk to other characters you will often get clues or other important information. So talk frequently with people! When in dialog your dialog options will be shown at the bottom of the screen, so simply press on the thing you want to say to a person and Frank will say it.
