Directory Blaster is a handy utility that turns the tedious chore of file cleanup into a BLAST!

It should be stressed that YES, every file you assault in Directory Blaster is deleted forever. Keep in mind that all subdirectories within the selected directory are accessed as well. Please blast responsibly, as the author of this software takes no responsibility for carelessness.

However, this application has been tested extensively, so you can rest knowing it will not delete any files or directories that you have not commanded it to.

Here's a helpful list of DOs and DON'Ts to get you started:
DO run Directory Blaster on temporary files.
DO run Directory Blaster on an art or music collection that you're tired of.
DO run Directory Blaster on any other files that you're absolutely certain you do not need.
DON'T run Directory Blaster on program files that are still installed.
DON'T run Directory Blaster on important system files.
DON'T run Directory Blaster on your root C drive.
DON'T run Directory Blaster on your sister's computer.

How to play:
Run directoryblaster.exe. After selecting a character and stage, click the start button and get ready to blast! Your character follows the mouse cursor and shoots upward with the left mouse button. Your files won't be deleted without a fight, so be careful! If you are hit just once, the deletion will be incomplete. When the last file is successfully blasted, the entire directory will explode and you will be presented with your results. Go for the high score!

Bonus features:
+Press alt-enter to toggle fullscreen!

+On the title screen, a directory can be set by dragging it into the Directory Blaster window.

+On the title screen, click "Associate with Windows Explorer." This will allow you to right click -> BLAST a directory in Windows to launch the game. Instant Directory Blasting!

+Play as a custom character by placing one in the "player" directory! Directory Blaster supports jpg, gif, and bmp. The top-left pixel is marked as the transparent color.

+Add custom music by placing it in the "musics" directory! Directory Blaster supports music modules (mod, xm, s3m, it). Download additional music modules at www.modarchive.org!

+Put on your 3d shades for an extra dimension in blasting!

Known problems:
+Read-only files cannot be blasted. These files will not even load into Directory Blaster, and as a result, the file and directory will remain upon clearing a stage.

+At the start of the stage, Directory Blaster will perform a file count. This can take a while if you've selected a directory with thousands of files inside.

+With no soundcard present, there will be a problem when attempting to load a music module. Simply move or rename the "musics" directory as a workaround.
