  • About

Crystal Pop is a little puzzle game for the Nokia Series 60 platform. I have tested it on my 7650 but it also should work on any 3650.

The game is still in an unpolished state so glitches and even crashes are possible. If you can reproduce a specific bug then please contact me.

    How to play

    Objective

The objective is to vertically stack up at least 3 blocks of similar color. These then will disappear and also activate any blocks of the same color near them. Any amount of blocks of the same color can be picked up at the same time. If you manage to destroy several blocks in a short time, you will get a combo bonus.

I recommend watching the demo mode (just wait a bit at the title screen) to get the concept.

    Special blocks

Currently there are two types of special blocks:
Grey blocks can not be picked up. They will change their color if other blocks are destroyed near them.
Stars appear randomly scattered and are "catalysts". They can react with any color.

    Game Modes

There currently are 3 different game modes implemented:
Survival Mode (my favorite) - Stay alive as long as possible. Each second passed will get you additional points.
Time Attack - Get as many points as possible within a short time period.
Puzzle Mode - Try to solve the level destroying as many blocks as possible

    Controls

Use the control stick or the keypad. Press left/right to move, down/up to pick up or put down blocks.

    Features to come

    Sound/music

    License

Crystal Pop is donateware. This means you can use and redistribute it in an unmodified form as you like as long as you keep the game archive intact. But if you like the game and want to encourage further development please donate. Even small amounts will be appreciated :)
