Crazy Chevaliers
---

The game was created by Mercury Software team for Becherovka Game 2007.
Crazy Chevaliers is designated for PDA equipped with Windows Mobile system and only on this platform you can fully enjoy the game. It could be run on desktop PC as well, even though it is not such fun and it doesnt support full features.

Instructions for PDA users
---

The game was tested on following mobile operating systems :
- Emulated version of Pocket PC 2002 and Windows Mobile 2003
- Real devices with Pocket PC 2002 (necessary to install .NET CF see further details below)
- Real devices with Windows Mobile 2003SE (resolution 240x320 a 240x240)
- Real devices with Windows Mobile 5.0 (resolution 240x320 and 480x640 - RealVGA)

On account of performed tests it was confirmed that the game should be compatible with every screen resolution and every version of Windows Mobile, provided the PDA is based on ARM/XScale architecture (virtually all PDAs since 2002). Generally I cant guarantee text legibility in other resolutions than 240x320 and 480x640. I strongly recommend using the screen-protective foil during gameplay!

Pocket PC 2002 users can encounter following problem (newer version users neednt read this). It is necessary to install .NET Compact Framework 1.0 (only newer platforms match the BG rules).

Instructions for Windows for PC (tested on Windows XP and Windows Vista):
---

The game is primarily designated for PDA, but you can run and play it on a desktop PC with Windows. There are a few restrictions though.

1) The game doesnt support sound when ran on desktop PC
2) The user has to install Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1; version 2.0 (or higher) included in Windows Vista is not sufficient!

Maybe SP1 would be also necessary (hasnt been tested): https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A8F5654F-088E-40B2-BBDB-A83353618B38&displaylang=en
3) Even though the difficulty level for PC was artificially lowered, the game can be too difficult when playing with mouse anyway. Playing on PC is simply not recommended.

Troubleshooting
---

- If the game still displays exceptions after having installed the Frameworks, check if you have unpacked sound libraries hss.dll and hssNET.dll into the game folder. They are necessary to run the program even on PC Windows, even though the sound doesnt work here.
- If you repeatedly encounter Reading Failure or Writing Failure, or the game crashes when entering the Skirmish Menu (or after finishing the dialogues in Campaign), try to delete the file userdata.dat. Then the Reading Failure would occur once more, but the error should be fixed. You will, however, delete your current campaign progress hereby.
