WELCOME

Hey and welcome to the "Because it's fun, Fay" readme! This game was made
during four weeks for the TIGSource Procedural Generation competition in
May 2008 by Jens Bergensten (programming), Daniel Brynolf (characters,
items and monsters), Pontus Hammarberg (backgrounds and platforms) and
Alexander Persson (Mac porting).

The game's a platform game with a boss fight. The game's map and the boss
is randomly generated each time you play. There's currently like 1 in 20
chance of getting an "impossible" map (an unreachable key for a door that
must be unlocked), but we didn't have enough time to locate this bug.

STORY / OBJECTIVE

The game is about the woman called Fay, who has been trapped in a tower
by the lonely fairy Cornipolous. Not interested in being anybody's pet
prisoner, Fay decisivly starts to make her way out from the tower. However,
Corn doesn't want her to get hurt and he knows the prison is filled with
evil monsters, and is forced to assist in her escape.

Your objective is to escape the tower with both Fay and Corn. The game is
best enjoyed with a friend in co-op mode, but you can play it alone of
course.

Sound effects samples have mostly been picked from The Free Sound
Project, http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/ . I've unfortunately lost the
whole list. A number of sound effects have been picked from our
other games (Harvest: Massive Encounter, Dawn of Daria and The
Strategist).

The defeat music has been composed by Peter Askelf for The
Strategist.

The intro and boss tunes have been composed by Izuho Takeuchi for
Phantasy Star III (Sega Genesis / Megadrive).
