Description
-----------
Armageddon V is a mixture of space shooter,
bat & ball and reaction game with a pinch
of strategic content in it.

Control the Defense Unit on Earth's orbit to
prevent the meteors to hit the planet.
Upgrade your equipment when you proceed to
more difficult levels. The game will always
end in Armageddon, as soon as the world popu-
lation has fell under 1 million inhabitants,
or alternatively when the Defense Unit has
been destroyed by meteor hits.

You will gain points from the blocked meteors.
The crucial part of success is to wisely use
a proportion of these points to buy new featu-
res to the Defense Unit, in order to be able
to fight one's way though the more and more
difficult levels. There are many upgrades e.g.
on the speed and size of the DU, weaponry and
the early warning system.

Scoring

Every stopped meteor gives you points. The
amount of points depends on the way you stop
them and on their perceived threat. The
highest score comes always by bouncing them
back to space. Using weapons is easier and
will not yield that big score. Stopping really
fast meteors is more demanding than the slower
ones and will give more points.

You can use these points in buying more
features to your Defense Unit, but that will
directly affect your final score negatively.

In addition, every completed level will give
you points progressively so that the reward
from higher levels is much more significant
than from the lower levels. Moreover, every
survived day will be worth of certain amount
of points in the end. Finally, your points
will slightly be adjusted by the number of
moves made in a way that only few moves per
saved meteor is the most profitable playing
style.

On the one hand, the scoring system encourages
not to buy that much and save the points you've
got. But on the other hand it will same time
place emphasis on proceeding to new levels. You
can't maximize both of these goals - in this
game you need to compromise and think
strategically!

With a lot of skill, clever use of upgrades and
perhaps a bit of luck as well it's possible to
reach level numbers 12-15.

There is also an alternative game mode called
INTENSE MODE where your final score is simply
the number of meteors you were able to stop
before the human civilization got destroyed
(world population fell under 1 million).
