Welcome to Where's M' Hat Ma?
Pa wants his hat and Magaret, his daughter, has to find it. What could be simpler. Unfortunately the hat has been possessed by aliens from the planet Purpoid, who are planning to invade earth. Can Ma uncover the foul plot and put a stop to the relentless hats?
How to play
There are four actions; walk, interact, look at and talk to. Use the right mouse button to cycle through these actions then move the cursor to where, or what, you want to perform the action on and left click.
To access your inventory, move the mouse to the top of the screen and click on the handbag. You can select inventory items by left clicking on them, and look at them with a right click. To use the chosen item on things in the world, just left click on them. Some inventory items can be combined with others produce new ones, do this by clicking one item on another in the inventory window. You can scroll the inventory widow with the mouse wheel. To quickly close the inventory, just move the mouse to the far left of the screen.
You can quit, load, save your progress by moving the mouse to the top of the screen and selecting the appropriate action.
The action games can be skipped, but you must play them at least once before this option becomes available.
Origins
WMHM was my first AGS adventure, written in one month for the April 2005 Mags competition. The rules were that the game used only 16 colours and featured a cowboy hat and a tarot card. Which explains the appearance and strange story line.
